MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!!

Hui Bao has been POSTPONED to NEXT FRIDAY, taking up the FIRST HOUR of each dazu session.

so people up for the first session of Hui Bao would be:

Hello NYCO!

Here's a reminder for tomorrow's performance:

LOA times:
YQP: 8:00am
All the other sections: 8:15am

Please change into your CO uniforms, tune your instruments and be at the stage at 8:50am for a final practice with Mrs Ee. Our performance should begin at 9:30. So 加油 to all!

Also, please do take note that there will be NO CCA on friday as well as saturday in light of Chinese New Year.

HELLO PEOPLE! Here's your NYCO ancestor posting! LOL! Since this blog is so dead, I shall start a topic!

I remember I once said that I'll tear if NYCO plays Chun very nicely. Chun is a piece that has a special meaning to me cos it's my very first NYCO dazu piece. When I hear other orchestras play Chun, I'll think of NYCO. However when I hear NYCO playing Chun, that feeling will surely be different. It'll not just simply be thinking of NYCO, but I'll also be touched. After all, I am a member of NYCO. Seeing you guys play will bring back fond memories, which include all the sweet and bitterness that we've gone through together.

Haha, ok I think this post is getting more and more cheesy. Well, what I wanna say is, really do your best for SYF. Don't think about the results (though I know you'll still care a lot about getting GWH). You are your best competitor. Play the best Chun and make me cry! HAHA! I've gone back today to watch your CNY rehearsal. Though there's much room for improvement, I think you guys have improved a lot since I last visited NYCO. I've also heard that some of you are worried about the slow progress. Well, just do your best, help one another and most importantly, always try to meet Mrs Ee's expectations (believe in her!). With this, I'm sure you guys will be fine. (:

To liven our tagboard, here's a task for all visitors of this blog, especially the former NYCO members. Listen to the Chun recording on this blog and critique on it (be as precise as possible). Have fun and GONG XI FA CAI (hongbao na lai!) in advance! :D

Hi NYCO (again)!

Please note that from now onwards we will have 大组 every Friday and Saturday. Attendance is compulsory. (Remember, we still need to prepare 蝉歌 for the rehearsal at SCH!)

小组will continue as per normal. There will not be 大组 on Tuesdays anymore until further notice because Mrs Ee has music lessons on Tuesday afternoons.

Our schedule for the month:

15 Jan (Thurs): CNY rehearsal, 3pm
20 Jan (Tues): CNY rehearsal, 3pm
23 Jan (Fri): CNY performance (Proceed to move instruments after assembly; performers are excused from 挥春)
29 Jan (Thurs): SYF auditions
30 Jan (Fri): 汇报 Session 3 & SYF auditions

That's all. 加油for practices! (It's good to see/hear a few sections working hard during lunches!)

Hello NYCO!

Please be reminded that we will be having 大组this Saturday, 8.45am-12nn! Our CNY performance is in 2 weeks! Work hard for 春 :D

As all of us know, SYF is coming really soon. We are very much behind schedule! So remember to practice 蝉歌too!

Gentle reminder: The third and final session of 汇报2008 is on 30 Jan (Fri). Those who did not perform at the camp last year will perform on that day. Please prepare and rehearse your short introduction of the piece.

a few updates about the recent activities:

rehearsal for CCA Mini Concert! the next practice will be on Monday morning, 7.15am! performers please be in M401 with your instruments by then! =D I will try my best to open the door by 7. Hope that the GO won't open late >< style="font-weight: bold;">No school jackets are allowed! All CO members are to get as many Sec Ones to go for the CO interview as possible during the CCA Exhibit. a further plan of what will happen on that day will be up very soon =D

information for mobile advertisers: No screaming, violent actions, defamation, dragging of sec1s

AND for those who ordered the CO tee PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember to pass $9 to your SLs by the coming friday the LATEST. if not i'll come after you wakakakaka! kidding la xD
